Speed Monitoring / DRIW-E16, 230 V AC

The speed and V-belt monitor is used to monitor rotational movement (under-speeds) on motor- or belt-driven shafts. Inductive proximity switches are used to detect the speed. The sensor generates pulses contactlessly via rotating cams, gears, segmented discs, metal signal flags, or similar devices. When the operating voltage is applied, the relay energizes. Via the drive’s power contactor, the monitoring function is initiated at terminals E1 and E2 after the start-up bypass has elapsed. If the drive falls below the shutdown speed, the relay drops out. Resetting or disconnecting the operating voltage resets the error message from the speed and V-belt monitor.
