RPM Monitoring / Two-Wire Sensor (5 to 60 V DC)
Description:
The sensor consists of a cylindrical, nickel-plated metal body with an M18 thread and two flat nuts. The cable outlet is located opposite the end face. On the side is a yellow LED that illuminates when the sensor is in the damped state. A high-frequency electromagnetic field is generated in the oscillator and radiates from the end face of the sensor. This field forms a spatial area above the active surface known as the active switching zone. If an electrically conductive material enters the field, energy is drawn from the oscillator. This dampens the oscillations to the point where they cease entirely or largely. If the conductive material is removed from the active zone, the oscillator can oscillate again at full amplitude. These two states can be electronically evaluated using the DRIW-E16.
The sensor contains the following essential components:
1. an oscillator (LC resonant circuit)
2. rectifier circuit
3. flip-flop amplifier
4. output stage
